We can repair and/or service your Bolex 8mm camera, but only the following models:
B8, B8SL, B8L, B8LA, C8, C8SL, D8L, D8LA, P1, P2, P3

If your camera was purchased off of eBay or has been sitting in a closet for many years and/or has NOT been used or serviced recently, it may require a complete dismantling to clean the hardened grease from the inner workings. Our charge for this Extended CLA service is $179.00 plus $15.00 S&H in USA. Other countries on quote.
If you know you camera needs repair, such as replacing damage or missing parts, or your reflex battery box (P1, P2 or P3) is corroded, or it needs a complete overhaul, the $199-299.00 (depending upon the model) repair service is your best bet. Return postage includes insurance and tracking. We also include a Bolex factory Owner's Manual on CD-ROM for reference.
If you are not sure which service is necessary or if the camera even needs to be serviced, we will evaluate your camera for a flat fee of $45.00 ( plus $15.00 S&H USA, only) and notify you of the camera's condition and any cost for repairs.
The $45.00 fee also applies to any work to be done. In the event that no work is done beyond the initial evaluation, we will return the camera postpaid and insured along with a written estimate of the camera's condition and a recommendation of any work necessary to return the camera to operating condition.
HOW TO PACK THE CAMERA
Pack the camera well using at least -2- full turns of bubble wrap around the body and lens(s) of the camera and place it into a cardboard box with enough padding so it fits snugly. Place an address label with your return address inside the box just in case the USPS "scrapes off" the outside label.
Send it to the address provided by us via U.S. Mail, insured for value. If you use US Priority mail, any US Post Office will supply the US Priority mail box for free. Most cameras, less larger accessories and leather case, will fit inside a US Priority mail Flat Rate box.
No need to send extras such as Declic handle, film spools, etc, unless they are damaged or need inspection. Insure the package for it actual replacement cost or value to you. After repair and/or evaluation, we will return the camera postpaid, insured and with USPS tracking (delivery confirmation).

Repair usually takes about a week. If the camera was sent in just for evaluation, I will email you back with a detailed explanation of the condition of the camera and the cost of repairs. I will email you again when the camera ships giving you the tracking information. Again, if you elect not to have the work done, the camera will be returned postpaid and insured. If the camera needs additional work, I will email you for permission and quote any additional costs.
